Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how bumyre collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the product. The product handles career information, resume content, and job-search materials, so privacy and consent are core parts of the experience.

This page is provided for transparency and should be reviewed with qualified counsel before relying on it as final legal text for a public launch.

Information We Collect

We collect the information you choose to provide when using bumyre, including resume text, uploaded resume files, job descriptions, contact details, work history, education, skills, tools, generated profile fields, visibility preferences, and any edits you make before exporting a resume.

If you join the launch updates list, we collect your email address and the page or product step where you submitted it. We may also collect basic product analytics such as page views, resume upload events, build starts, build completions, exports, and lead form submissions.

How We Use Information

We use resume and job post information to parse your career history, generate an editable candidate profile, suggest improvements, calculate role-fit signals, and create a downloadable resume PDF.

We use analytics events to understand product performance, diagnose errors, improve onboarding, measure conversion, and identify where users abandon the flow. We use launch-list emails to send product updates, early-access notices, and related announcements.

AI Processing

bumyre may send resume content, uploaded file content, job descriptions, and profile fields to an AI service provider so the app can generate structured profile data and resume suggestions. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a specific job application, so you should review all generated content before using it.

Do not upload sensitive information that is not necessary for resume optimization, such as government identification numbers, financial account information, medical records, passwords, or unrelated private documents.

Private Profiles And Recruiter Visibility

Profiles are private by default. A private profile is intended for resume generation, role-fit feedback, and your own review.

If the product offers recruiter matching or a talent network, your resume or profile should not be shared with recruiters unless you explicitly choose a discoverable or opt-in visibility option. You can use the resume export without choosing recruiter visibility.

Storage And Retention

The app may store saved candidate profiles, analytics events, and launch-list emails so the product can function and improve. Uploaded or pasted resume content may be stored as part of a saved profile if you save the profile after review.

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for product operation, analytics, support, legal compliance, security, or legitimate business purposes. Retention practices may change as the product matures.

Sharing

We do not sell your resume data. We may share information with service providers that help operate the product, such as hosting, analytics, storage, AI processing, email delivery, security, and support vendors.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information handled by the product. No internet service, AI service, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for deciding what resume information you upload and for keeping your own devices, browsers, and accounts secure.

Your Choices

You can choose not to provide a resume, job post, email address, or discoverable profile preference. Some features may not work without the information needed to perform the requested action.

You may request deletion, correction, or export of saved profile or launch-list information by contacting the product owner through the support contact published with the production deployment.

Children

This product is intended for job seekers and professional use. It is not directed to children under 13, and users should not submit information about children unless they have the legal right to do so.

Changes To This Policy

We may update, revise, replace, or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes may reflect product updates, new features, legal requirements, business needs, or operational practices.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date when applicable. Your continued use of the product after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
